Make Your Own Biscuit Recipes - Substitute Biscuit Dough For Your Own Recipes

There are a lot of biscuit recipes out there but only a few that really make an impression. Most of the recipes we have got are either too easy or too difficult to make. Biscuit recipes tend to fall into one of two categories. Either they are too difficult to make that we can't do them at home; or they are too easy to make but just not tasty enough for us to eat. I am going to explain what makes biscuits so special and how they can easily be made into extraordinary biscuits with ingredients you probably already have in your home.

First of all, you need to look closely at the recipe. Most biscuit recipes use vegetable fat like margarine, shortening, or butter. Instead of butter, why not substitute with olive oil? The oil from the can is probably already stored in your kitchen cupboard. If it isn't, simply soak some of the fat away with water and add this to the recipe.

Secondly, many biscuit recipes have a savory biscuit topping, such as buttermilk. In my opinion, a savory biscuit is simply the best kind of biscuit. The buttermilk coating is what gives biscuits their savory flavor and texture. If you substitute buttermilk with any sugar substitute, you will end up with a sweet, overly sugary biscuits which are almost tasteless.

Once you have your basic recipe ready, it is easy to turn your biscuit recipes into amazing meals with only a few ingredients. To make biscuits into power food, simply mix together your flour, brown sugar, butter, eggs, and buttermilk. By using the right combination of ingredients, your biscuits will come out tender and delicious.

For instance, if you are making cranberry cookies, you can substitute orange juice for all-purpose flour, and cinnamon for the sugar. Mix these three ingredients together and knead into a rough ball. Then roll out the dough to form a rough spiral shape, cover with the mixture and heat in the oven. When the biscuits are baked, allow them to cool on a cooling rack. Once they are completely cooled, peel off the cookies and transfer to a cooling rack.

Many biscuit recipes call for unsalted cold or frozen biscuits. However, the key to making them taste yummy is to use the right ingredients. Unsalted cold or frozen biscuits are difficult to work with if your ingredients aren't room temperature. Therefore, it's important that you mix your ingredients together until the ingredients to reach room temperature before adding them to the mixer. If not, your biscuits will be very difficult to work with.

One of my favorite biscuit recipes called for buttermilk. I had never made this recipe before, so I couldn't tell if it was hard or easy. I used buttermilk for my first batch of biscuits, but found that the biscuits turned out well. I did, however, use less buttermilk than what is called for because I was using sweeteners instead of regular sugar. The result was delicious - not too gooey and definitely not sweet.

If you would like to try making biscuits without the need for a biscuit cutter, you can. It is much easier to make cookies this way. All you need is a fork and a cookie cutter. You can create beautiful round biscuits with just your fork and a flat toothpick. In fact, if you don't have a cookie cutter, that won't matter because you can use a teaspoon to do the same job.

Another difference you'll notice when making your own biscuits is the type of flour you use. I prefer all-purpose flour, but some people don't. biscuit recipes Most stores sell different kinds of flour to suit different tastes. Personally, I like all-purpose flour. It gives the biscuits a better flavor and makes them healthier as well.

When making your own biscuits, you can replace the liquid called for in many a biscuit recipe with 1 tablespoon of dried fruit. This is easily done by mixing the dry fruit with the liquid first before adding it to the mix. Dried fruit can give the biscuits a better flavor and richer texture. You can also substitute half of the oil in a biscuit recipe for the honey butter.

For an extra flavoring twist to your peanut butter biscuits recipe, try including cinnamon chips or chopped dried fruit in the mix. These additions will really bring out the flavor of the recipe without overwhelming it like other ingredients can. I usually use chopped dried fruit. Sometimes, I even sprinkle a bit of sugar on top for a nice sweet touch.
